Processing time questions.
Hello all,
My fiancée has recently checked the site where you can see the processing times for the I-129f and what month they are on depending on when you sent it. It’s updated to March now, but I’ve heard that they aren’t always accurate? We sent ours in the middle of June, and I’ve heard that some people are getting there’s back after just over 100 days of submitting. I just want to know if there’s an accurate source I can use?
Cheers!
Joshua

You're right. It's not vey accurate. There is no accurate source.

It's not accurate and what actually happens is highly variable. Even similar applications made on the same day might have processing times that vary by several weeks.

If you take as a very rough approximate you'll be better prepared.

It can be disheartening, getting your hopes up and then having them flattened slowly and painstakingly as you watch the weeks tick by and see no progress. Don't pay too much mind to the dates on those websites, if you can help it (though it's hard to not keep checking, I know).
I learned, throughout the numerous periods of waiting on mine and my husband's CR-1 journey, that it is a far more pleasant an experience if you prepare for the long road and hope for the short one. The surprises are much sweeter! Our I-130 paperwork took 6.5 months to be approved. We were hoping for a five-monther, as per the suggested average, and so that final month and a half draaaaaaaaagged. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, come out smiling.
Very best of luck!

AFAICT, from my unscientific observations, 6 months is about as good as it gets for a CR-1/IR-1 direct consular filing in London.
