Default POE experience at Orlando IR-1

My wife and I have been in Orlando 24 hours and I thought I'd share our experience. We landed and made our way to the immigration que at which point people are guided in two directions...US citizen/visas and everyone else. We went through the US line with big envelope in full view. Waited to see an immigration officer and explained the situation. She scanned and stamped my US passport then checked my wife's visa page and had pic and fingerprints taken. We were then politely escorted to a big back room and envelope was handed to another officer. The room was completely empty so it was fast. He asked about forwarding address for documents to be sent then stamped visa and that was it. Took all of 20mins. I think Orlando is quite an easy entry point. Hope this helps.

When you checked in for your flight in the UK to head to the US, did you tell them you weren’t travelling on ESTA? Did they ask?

I’m travelling tomorrow and I was was just wondering.

Check in desk asked me, then got asked again at another pre-flight screening.
