Notification of readiness

Notification of readiness
I have my medical coming up on Monday and was just wondering if i could file my notification of readiness now or do i need to wait until after the medical? It states on the London embassy website that you file once steps 1-3 have been completed and step 3 was to schedule an appointment for a medical, it never mentioned actually having to attend the medical before filing. Any thoughts?
