[QUOTE=ian-mstm;11411665]This looks very good.

Since you ask... there's a couple of fees involved, and I don't see that mentioned anywhere!

Ian[/QUOT

Many Thanks Ian, but which Fees are you talking about?

I only know of the visa fee to be paid at the embassy when i attend my interview?

There's a fee for the courier also, I think.

Courier fee, unless that's paid online now. Not sure.

There will be the GC processing fee, but you don't pau that until you have your passport and via back from the embassy.

Thanks Ian,

I thought the courier fee is paid once the visa is approved and you have to leave your passport with them?

I remember paying that when i went to register the birth of my child to the embassy few months ago?

strangely there is an instruction in the interview letter to register with a courier company but no mention of paying anything

I see a lot of people listing 3 years tax returns copies/transcripts, but reading the I-864 instructions it only requires the most recent year. Is there an actual requirement to have all three years, or is this just extra information in case it's requested?

It used to be, the courier fee is now paid online when you register before your interview. There's no mention of paying anything in your letter because it's all on the website - you can also choose to pick up your passport for free from a DX location.

It's recommended to take 3 years just in case but, no, it's not a requirement.

Thanks BunnyGirl,

That makes sense now, I thought it was just an optional service offered.

cheers

There was a time when 3 years' worth was a requirement... but that was changed about 4 or 5 years ago, so only 1 year is required now. However, word on that seems not to have gotten to everyone, so some ConOffs still ask for 3 years' worth of tax returns - and that's what is generally recommended just to be safe, as you point out.
