Default Name change affecting AOS

So I entered the US on a K1 visa, married and have now the submitted the AOS packet.

Now in the next few months my USC spouse will be changing her surname to mine.

But then that name won't match the name in the AOS paperwork. Is that an issue?

As Noorah said, no problem at all.

It should be no problem. That said, my experience of what the minions of the dark forces would do in my decades of practice was quite inconsistent. At times, in order to avoid "fighting city hall," we would have to file an I-90.

I used to advise to change everything but these days the "chicken or egg" dilemma frequently pops up.

Again, it is usually no problem but YMMV.

I wouldn't bet anything against the stupidity of the "minions of the dark forces", as they managed to issue me with a green card with my surname substituted with a different word, and they changed my nationality, and this was three months after 9/11! ..... YMMV indeed!
