Default my fiancee has to return to her country soon, what steps do I need to take?

Hello,

My fiancee is here in the US on an F1 visa, and she needs to return to
Taiwan in early December. Actually, her visa expires at the end of
November, but her plane ticket is for Dec. 7th.

The plan is for us to get married soon, and then she will still return
to Taiwan, but will return to the U.S. in early February.

I have looked over this website, and it seems that we need to get
married almost right away, and then file for an "Adjustment of Status"
for her. Then for her to go back to Taiwan and return in February, we
need to file for an Advance Parole Document, since the Adjustment of
Status will take a while. Am I on the right track?

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

You are on the right track but you need to move with speed. I am very doubtful that you can file the paperwork in time to get the AP back by December 7th. They can take 2 weeks or 6 months. Don't leave home without the AP!

Where do you live? Where you live affects the processing time of AP's since many processes them "in house" and the time can vary greatly as stated before.
