My MacBook - it was a bribe to make me move here!

Denby mugs, for a proper sized coffee (or tea for 'im indoors)

Satnav in the car.

Eider ski jacket - super toasty, especially back in the UK over Christmas!

Ice cleats - haven't used mine much yet, but they were a big winner as a Christmas present for all the folks back home this year.

Think my new favourite gadget could be a heated ski boot bag - I bought OH one for his birthday which he loves. I tried it for the first time at the weekend and am converted - ridiculously easy to get my boots on and they didn't hurt for a change! Anyone who skis will appreciate how significant this is!

Just had a google and those are funky looking!

I've got a pair of nice metal insulated mugs, was given as a present years ago, they're round and the one I use for tea is battered to buggery from being dropped and what not.

Generally not a big fan of insulated mugs for tea, but this is a regular size which was nice.

Like everyone else has said, GPS for the car.

18 months ago when I moved to NYC we moved into our apartment that had no dishwasher. Now 18 long, long months of washing dishes later, I'd sell my left tit for a dishwasher.

Agree - I'd sell my right tit for a dishwasher, if I had one (a tit, I mean).

Two things it took me decades to catch up on were a dishwasher (didn't have one until late 90s), and, believe it or not, a microwave (similar - didn't have one until the 21st century ...). I can't imagine doing without a microwave these days, and unfortunately my dishwasher has been broken for several weeks and can't afford the repair - one very flat-chested tit for sale!

We must have bought about a dozen different mugs for camping, as the OH hates the taste of tea out of a plasticky cup. Eventually settled on a ceramic mug without a handle (bit like a ceramic Starbucks-type cup), but it's bound to get broken at some point. Maybe a metal one is what he needs!

Had to think long and hard to come up with something, but finally:
1) GPS - simply can't cope without one any more. Not only does it get me where I want to go (obviously!), but I can take dozens of random detours into side-streets and interesting areas, always knowing I can get back on track.
2) Google. It finds the shit I want, and a ton of shit I never knew existed.
3) Digital Cameras. I've always loved photography, and having the ability to a) see the results right away, and b) being able to take as many shots as you want without any incremental cost, has made it so much better.
