Default MSC K3 Roll Call

How many of us are waiting for NOA from MSC? I'm anxious to know the time-line for each one of us. Good Luck to everyone!

Here's mine:

Im not sure if my petition is going through MSC or not because of this
entire Life Act thing confuses me.... I have received my first NOA with a
recipt date of 12-17-03 and I am still waiting for the second NOA to have
my wife proceed with the k-3 process

My petition was filed in Chicago and I have no idea on how to check on
processing times. I am guessing If my wife and I didnt marry I could have
gone through VSC seeing I fall under there jurisdiction. I can find current
processing times for VSC which have consitantly run about a month for the
past few months.

Do the processing times for Chicago fall under MSC ??? and If so, how come
the current dates for MSC havent been posted ?? I cant find anything
current like the other services centers. Dec 15th is the latest, with the
petitons dated 9-30 hitting the desk. I would just like to be able to keep
an estimation of time I have to wait before recieving the 2nd NOA.

This gets frustrating at time because I was expecting my family home with
me this past september... I have learned alot about immigration laws since
than. I never LOVE had such a high price tag upon it. It took me awhile to
get the ball rolling... getting all of the nessary paperwork in order for
my lawyer and filing the 130 November and getting the 1st NOA for that like
a week later... than filed the I-129-F immediatly after that and recieved
the 1st NOA yet another week later... I was thinking things were moving
along pretty quickly after the ball got started but know the more I look
into things the more I feel there might be a sudden slow down for I have no
clue how to check except for the 60-90 day time frame I was given on the
NOA

Thanx for taking the time if you got this far =)

Default Timeframe

My first NOA dated 24 Jan gives a 60-180 day timeframe. How do you like that for running the gamut, . Actually although vague, I'd rather have that, then have it say 60-90 days and find it takes a minimum of 100 days.........

Not to be discouraging or anything, but look how far I got and then to come to a screeching halt. FYI, you can use your receipt # on the online case status - INS website.

Here is a timeline page: http://www.marriagebasedvisas.org/visa/k-3/index.php

Also, the Dec. 15 AILA timelines are the most recent.

Here's my timeline:

I-130 1st NOA: 19 Dec. 2002;
I-129 1st NOA: 31 Dec. 2002.

Good luck mate!

What a great website this is !!! I feel as if I found a new place to look
for valuable information and hear about others success stories !!! I did
alot of reading on this site and answered some questions I had reguarding
Chicago and MSC... its funny Ive been typing in my reciept number on the
INS site and it never even dawned on me MSC-03-xxx-xxxx If I wasnt so lazy
and just typing the first letter and than clicking I might have noticed
that the MSC stood for Missouri !!! LOL

My wife was a little dissapointed for the simple fact that it seems MSC
moves ALOT slower than VSC would have if we had not gotten married but she
is excited that I was showing so much intrest and not letting the lawyer
haddle it all.

Speaking of my Lawyer, I called him today to try and get my number/date on
my I-130 Seeing I am almost positive that this is going via Vermont and
having run across some instances where the I-130 has been approved even
before the 129f. I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered.

My wife is currently in another country from the one she carries her
passport in and I was thinking about holding off going to visit her account
of it was looking like this might fly by.... but now that I can see that
its going via MSC maybe it will be OK to spend the money to see my family
seeing its going on 6 months now (If you dont count me getting to see them
through a security door/window while they were detained in Logan airport)

Best of Luck to all !!!! Thannks for all the extra hope and motivation !!!

I-130 <=== still unknown, Lawyer better call me back !!! LOL

This is great! As I was searching for answers on-line about k-3 visa, I found this site. This site gave me an understanding about the processing time and have been very helpful. I can see that going back here everyday to visit the site gives me hope. My husband is from Canada. Although he comes to visit me every three months, I can't wait for him to settle here permanently. I wish everyone luck. Take care.
