Nope, still waiting! So far, the lucky lottery winner is....

Lizzie! She's the only one as of yet.

Hi Salooni110!

Nope, no word of P3 yet
Still hoping that it's just a regular delay as opposed to some other complicating factor. UmairK80 had his 2nd NOA on 11/29 and his wife got P3 so we, with 2nd NOA of 12/2, should have heard something by now but haven't and that's what's making me paranoid! But, unfortunately, all I can do is wait and see.

Believe me, I'll post about P3 as soon as I get word of its arrival!

Hi all you guys,

Hay, do you know how I have to do in order to ask for a change in the interview date? I was told at embassy to emailed them, but they never replied any email i sent before.

Does my husband have to go to Embassy or he can just call and ask for a new interview??

Hope you can help

Hi Lizzie!

I would think calling the consulate would be the best way to reschedule. But, then again, the consulate is the one that probably told you to reschedule by email. Any which way you do it, make sure you do let them know because you don't want them to think that you are foregoing your K3 application.

BTW, can you post the email address you used to contact the embassy. Thanks.

Regards,

JM

Hi James,

JIJI, you are right, the guy with whom I talked on Monday at Embassy told me to email them for rescheduling, but funny part is that they never reply back. (, so frustrating all this. He said trying to reschedule on phone can be little embrassing, Im not sure what he meant by that, but we will try all way possibles.

Anyway, I emailed them last night, and my husband said he will send them a fax tomm if not I'll give them another call on Monday.

The email they gave me was: [email protected]

Hope this help

At least, my husband got today the fingerprints to be sent to Canada, just pray and hope in God they wont take that much, I want my hubby back soonnnnn.

Good luck

Just kidding

Actually I was told that my wife has been sent P3 and the interview has been set for 8am Feb 4!!! They said they mailed out P3 two days ago and to call if it's not received in the next week or so. Here's my updated timeline:

1st NOA: September 10, 2002
2nd NOA: December 2, 2002
NVC to Islamabad: December 11, 2002
P3 mailed out: January 15, 2003
Interview date: February 4, 2003

I am hoping to celebrate Valentine's Day together if all goes well!

Hey good luck everyone!

James, that is WONDERFUL news!!!!! Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you! You just made my morning. I'm tempted to call on my own, but since today is Friday, my window has passed. I'll have my husband call next week! Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks you all for the well wishes!

My wife received P3 today. Here's the updated timeline:

1st NOA: September 10, 2002
2nd NOA: December 2, 2002
NVC to Islamabad: December 11, 2002
P3 mailed out: January 15, 2003
P3 received: January 18, 2003
Interview date: February 4, 2003

She'll be making an appointment for the medical soon and getting her photos taken. Other than that, we think everything is a go. The only doubt I have is that they requested 1040 tax form but I only sent a W2 for 2001 (first year I started working). Hopefully that will suffice.

If the interview goes well, she'll be coming here within a week or so of February 4. I am very happy but still won't feel completely at rest until she has the visa in her hand. Well, here's hoping that everything will go fine...

Regards,

JM

PS: Ayisha, hang in there. Your husband is up next!

I hope so, James! We really want to be together for Eid, which is around the 12th or the 13th of February (I'm not sure of the EXACT date). We'll see, I guess. My husband is taking it better than I am, and he's being so wonderful! He's still on his police report quest, and he's completed 1 out of 3. He's working on his 2nd one right now, and then he's off to home to get the local one.

In the meantime, I've gotten the I-134 notarized and signed,a nd a letter from my bank. I'm doing everything in triplicate, and I'm sending two copies to him, and keeping one for myself, in case it's needed in the future. I'm planning on Fed-Exing the entire packet once I get my W2s in the mail from the IRS. I hope the embassy accepts tax transcripts, because that's all I have.

Has anyone Fed-Exed to Pakistan? Is it reliable? What's the best way to send info there?

I completely forgot Monday is MLK day, which means one more day the embassy will be closed. Oh well, I guess I can wait-it's all I've been doing so far!

James, you might want to call the embassy again and tell them what your wife has and what they need-it'll put your mind at rest.

Good luck with your interviews!

Ayisha

Hi Ayisha,

I have used FedEx to Pak and all times the package got there on time and without trouble.

Is little expensive, but at least I feel secure that my package will get there without trouble. Takes around 4-6 days to get to Pak.

Best of lucks,

Lizzie

BTW, Congratulations James on your wife interview appoit date. Best wishes.
