hi all, i have a question regarding the whole adjustment of status thing. do we need
to apply for it right after getting married? my fiancee (now wife) came in on a K-1
and we got married within the 90 days but i recently got laid off. i am sure i will
find another job within a month or so, but does that conflict with the "getting
married within 90 days" thing for the K-1? so again, do we need to file now or is a
bit later like in a month or two after the 90 days be fine? thanks.

We were in the very same situation. We held off filing for a few months until we
found out that they don't really care much or even look at the affadavit of support
until interview time. We filed our I-485 about 9 months ago without much supporting
financial documentation and it was fine.
Go ahead and file to get the ball rolling. By the time your interview rolls around,
you will probably have been in a very good job for some time.
Good luck, Lisa
