03/05/12 - Posted I-130's for wife and two munchkins
03/09/12 - Notice of Receipt and a lot of money taken from my credit card
06/06/12 - I-130's approved
06/07/12 - I-130 approval letter
06/29/12 - Case number Received, medical booked and DS230/readiness sent
07/05/12 - Medical
07/31/12 - (half an hour ago!) VISAS APPROVED!!
So pleased - thanks to all on the forum here. Will write up my wife's interview experience later!

April 24- Official filing date of I-130
July 18- Approval of I-130
July 28- Received approval of I-130 (we were away so not sure if they tried to deliver a few times- husband didn't put enough postage on the envelope!)
August 2- Received case number!
It's all becoming more real now!

Hi, just thought I would throw our timeline up here:
I-130 Filed - April 12, 2012
(We did NOT receive any notification from them to say that it had been received/filed, even though it said we would get notification, I called the expensive number to check)
I-130 Approved - July 12, 2012
Case Number Received - August 2, 2012
Medical Booked - August 14, 2012
(If we had been desperate and prepared, could have booked medical as soon as August 7, 2012 - but needed extra time to rearrange things)
DS form part 1 and Readiness sent - August 6, 2012
Will update as soon as interview date arrives!

We had a super quick turnaround at the end... receiving our letter the day before the interview (which I had never heard of) but we were pleased it all worked out!
