I am married to a US citizen- Docs needed
Hi I am married to a US citizen and He is ready to petition for me.
What Documents ( I mean personal documents) should I ask him to get
before we send the petition and adjustment status application? And How
long will it take for me to get an EAD?

You may be better off asking this question in alt.us.visa.marriage-based,
but here goes:
- his and your birth certificate. If he is a naturalized citizen, also his
certificate of naturalization.
- his last three year's tax returns (for the I-864, of course)
- your marriage certificate.
- anything you can think of that shows that your marriage is bona fide,
such as evidence that your and his salaries are both deposited into a
joint bank account, vacation pictures, etc. You'll need that only a couple
months or years from now during the interview.
- your medical exam results, if your local CIS office expects them
together with your AOS application. Some only expect them for the
interview.
If any documents are foreign language, you'll also need translations.
How long the EAD takes depends on the local office. In some offices, it is
same day, in others it can be three months.
Side note: there is a rumor - as yet unconfirmed - that CIS is planning to
change the procedure for filing marriage-based cases; you would in the
future file in the Missouri Service Center.
