G325A question.. ANOTHER one ;)
Hi all.
This is my first post here, but I've been reading this newsgroup for
the past few weeks, thankful for all the help people's posts have
provided. I'm American, and my boyfriend is from the UK, and after
two years of long distance dating (arg), we've finally decided we
can't be apart ever again.
Anyway, all the forms and processes seem very daunting and
discouraging, and the information I've received from here (as well as
websites linked to from here) is very helpful.
OK, enough appreciation, now on to my question.
I know I have to submit a G325A form for both of us along with the
I-129F petition, and my boyfriend is going to fill out the form and
send it along with the other information I need from him to submit it.
However, he's concerned that the G325A wants to know about his current
employment; not about the employment itself (he's a computer games
programmer), only that he's not yet prepared to tell his boss that
he'll be quitting to move to America, and he'd rather not he find out
by getting a phone call from US Immigration. I told him that I
doubted very much that they'll be contacting his employer, but I
thought I'd check here to see if anyone else knew different?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Don't worry, the BCIS will not contact his employer. They don't care much about his employment status. Later on in the process, they will be interested in your job and whether you have the resources to support him when he moves here. But, they won't contact your employer directly either.

Eric was in the same situation. They DID NOT call his employer. He just gave notice at work on Monday (he's to give 3 month notice as per his contract).
