Is it a) when your application is approved
or b) when you receive your card

The reason I am asking is because my prior employer is holding my position open and is anxiously awaiting my return.

Did you file your AOS Package yet? When you file I-485 you'll get a NOA from the NBC which regularly gets updated with information. I recently checked mine and this is what it said:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On March 12, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

I did fingerprints for both the I-485 and the EAD at the same time which leads me to believe my approval is just around the corner.

Doesn't it suck??? I think they must just grab a handful of files from the bin and dish them out to the officers, and ours just happened to land on the slowest rep's desk!!!!!!!

I was playing with a few e-filed app #'s just now, and I didn't find one single app approved. Some of them were from Feb 3rd. (Yes, I know, I only tried a few out of Lord knows how many, but still! )

yep,kate..that's what they do with the files..there's no logic in their approval system....it has to do with the number of the people that work, their mood..lol.....

for ajayd..i have 34 pages of EAD NOA's but i can't tell which ones are for k3 or k1... i can PM you the NOA from 6 FEb and the days close to your NOA
