Unexpected car auction today, nothing bought though, which is a good thing. I however would not have minded the Toppling, what a cute thing that was! Next weekend is the Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA. I have one very excited husband.

Steveston! You can get some nice spot prawns there.

Has Snoop let you off the lead so you can sample the delights of the No. 5 Orange club?

Damn- you should've advised me earlier, they were on as a special. I had a nice paella- Snoop had Sablefish she enjoyed. She quaffed a fair quantity of Vino from Dirty Laundry- Sadly no No5 as need to feel at least part dog/part human for a bloody trawl round IKEA then drive back to the kennel in separate cars laden with gawd knows what. Pups were with us too. Snoop wants to go back in the am as apparently they film Once upon a time there- I got bored after the first season
I drank some cloudy beer which was ok washing my food down I was intrigued by the name of it

Oh Oink...what happened next! I live for your Friday night excursions, I really do look forward to them...I'm far too sequestered in deadly dullness to act badly here...the spirit is very much willing, but opportunity doesn't knock.

I'd give my eye teeth for a visit to Ikea! Actually...a visit to any reasonably large shop!

HID wisely could see where the evening was headed so she and her friends went off somewhere else to carry on the party and I took a taxi home only stopping at Nando's for a quick pick up of a full-pack platter of extra hot peri peri chicken.

It's been rather warm here this weekend, but lake still too freezing cold to go anywhere near it.

After a minor run-in last night with new butcher (of whom I had high hopes) about Merguez & other sausage ingredients* , I'm staying home on balcony today with coffee, mimosa, salad & a book.

* I was planning a nice bbq...

Discovered there was an England-Wales Pre-tour rugby match 20 minutes before it kicked off.

Oh Millie.
HID's friends have moved on from turning their suburban narcosis from an IKEA Nordic Noir to more of a mid-century modern aesthetic mainly furnished from Crate and Barrel.

Testing the A/C we got installed in the house last week. Seems to be working so far.

Tried driving a truck from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in VR, but either I'll have to upgrade my PC or Truck Simulator will have to improve their graphics engine because it stutters like crazy in town.

It's all do very much of the same old tosh...it's only when you don't get the chance to finger and comment on the stuff - that you suspect the rest of the country has a chance to prod - that you become bitter and dispirited...you very much need the chance to not want it!

Do you have an Occulus/Rift VR doodad? How long did the virtual drive take?

Similar weekend for me. Youngest daughter's dance recital on Friday evening - 2 hrs in a theatre for 3 mins of 4 yr old ballet cuteness - followed by another 2 hours on Sunday night for oldest daughters recital which again was 2 hours in a theatre but this time for 2 performances. Its the parental duty of course, but between that and rehearsals the entire weekend was pretty much screwed. Took the kids swimming on Sat PM, ate out a East Side Marios (family dining necessitates setting the bar low at times) and that was about it.
