It glitched for me too, so I did a clean shutdown, took a 10 minute pause - with coffee - then a restart, which resulted in services back up as usual.

I use iPlayer download app with Firefox as the website 'go to'.

Hoxx still working a treat, first time every time.

I have made a nice discovery, but I'll bet many people already know you can do this.

I'm not happy with disappearing functionality of Firefox and cutting a long story short, I'm experimenting with Opera and so far it seems I can get very close to what for me has been Firefox perfection before it all goes to pot.

While looking over the Opera add-ons, I discovered one that once installed allows you to take other add-ons from Chrome (without having the Chrome browser). I gather this sort of cross browser type activity is common, but I didn't know of it.

Anyway, by using this Opera add-on, Beebs from Chrome becomes available on Opera. Free. It worked a treat when I tried earlier.

Chrome Store Foxified allows the same idea to take a Chrome add-on for Firefox. Trying to install Beebs on FF right now but not convinced it's going. Looks like it's hanging. It's free but encourages a small payment which is obviously worth it if it works.
