I remember - about 5-6 years back - there was a UK TV show where a couple/family relocated from the UK to Canada.

Can anyone remember what it was called?? I'm desperate to track it down online!

I believe it was part of the 'new life down under' type show - it was a paramedic I believe relocating out west.

I tracked down an article about a couple who were featured in a reality tv series featuring 8 families "trying out" living abroad for a month before making a decision but can't find the tv program, sorry. The UK family were called Ellis and moved from Yorkshire to Calgary.. ring any bells? BBC2 filmed it.

Yep - paramedic, family moved to Canmore...

I thought they moved to Bragg Creek, initially. The guy (presenter) advised them to move to Cochrane!

There was also an episode of Place in the Sun where the family moved to St Thomas, Ontario.

Yes, they did move to Bragg Creek - Redwood Meadows I believe. He was a paramedic, then went into car sales and I recently saw him working in a local hunting store.

Get a New Life was on BBC about 10 years ago - can't see any reference to episodes being available online.
