Well then the UK is racist for the privilege of its members then.

You're saying no two (or more) countries should ever do a special deal because it is racist. Hmm right, ok then.

It's a nation state.

Yes, when it comes to immigration.

Ok you're not seeing it.

Another example. The UK and US have especial mutual visa and tax relationships between them.

Guess that's racist to say errr Everyone else?

Unless you make all deals universal, there will always be some preferential deal for the sides involved. Conversely, at least EU 28 treats all the people fairly and universally. So another way to see it, it is actually LESS racist 👍

Election 2015 - BBC News

Could Scotland be key in this coming election?

My prediction on the outcome

Cons 350

Labour 220

SNP 51

UKIP 8
Bit hopeful on the UKIP numbers - if they only manage to get 1 MP in 2015, I have difficulties seeing them getting eight this time.

The main problems for the polls last time in 2015 was the larger than expected number of 'shy Tories' in the population. These 'shy Tories' will not say to the pollsters that they will vote Tories in the election. How this factor will play out in this election remain to be seen.

Is there any 'shy Labour' voters around?

Unfortunately, this is not the case. In the Maastricht Treaty, EEC members agreed on the Euro convergence criteria in which Euro member states must not have government debt more than 60% of its GDP and government deficit to GDP at 3%.

France is guilty for not following the Euro convergence criteria for years with debt at 85.8% while deficit at 5.2% of GDP (both in 2012). What did the Commission do - nothing! I remember Juncker said last year that France got away from it because 'it is France'.

EU gives budget leeway to France 'because it is France' - Juncker | Reuters

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stability_and_Growth_Pact

The Greeks need to follow the austerity measures (job / spending / pension cuts with higher taxes) handed down by the EU, ECB and IMF while France is not require to do anything!

It is this election that prompted me to do something about getting out. It's by no means a foregone conclusion that May will win by a landslide, but let's be serious, she probably will, and then the Tories can do whatever they want to the country.

I understand the emotional aspect of this, I came as a refugee from Thatcher. Still, you need to think for a moment, escaping May could mean having to spend the rest of your life in Canada; you will have done that to yourself and she'll die, deranged, without even knowing.

Being that the opinion polls are next to useless, I reckon the SNP are gonna get their arses kicked. The Tories are gonna have their own salute and everything haha

The Americans do that a lot. Every time there's politician they don't like that gets voted in, they always say they're going leave the country and move to Canada.

This time around I urge everyone to be mindful and stay alert to fake news, distractions and emotional nonesense, designed to sway your otherwise rational thought processes.

The only thing you need really to know about the election is, Theresa May will do a lot of good for the country but you wouldn't want to shag it.

With a strong majority, she'll be pushing her grammar schools plan through.
