My ex-wife and I did London-Jakarta with our brat in the mid-90s. Our GP was very helpful.

The brat was sparko most of the way.

Have I done this *through necessity* (immigrating/expatting)? Yes. Many years ago.

Would I do it again if the journey were optional? Heck, NO!

There are lots of good links & advice above, but I’d add that at 7 months old the baby in question probably isn’t eligible for a skycot/bassinet - see individual airline rules & regulations.
