I was referring to the logo, which is extremely close to how it looked 1939-67, last century.

Post #2 has a link. I'm surprised how old the current logo is, must have looked pretty cutting edge in the 70s.

One medal in the last 4 years in WJH. Horrendous.

I get offered tickets at work to entertain clients. I'd rather relax at home and watch Netflix to be honest.

No atmosphere. Just other suits.

I prefer to think of it as seven medals [four gold] in the last ten years. Or 16 medals in the last 20? No other team even comes close to that.
But to be fair, it is a niche sport, unlike football.

That's the issue I have with much of Canadian sport. The skill level can be high, athletic ability world class, but most events I've attended have lacked any sustained passion or excitement.

I went to football match in Vancouver and most of the spectators were more interested in their nachos and hot dogs than the action on the pitch. It made for a rather detached atmosphere. I think an audience here would probably be more attentive at a monster truck rally.

I took my girlfriend (Cradle) to a Stoke match and she could not believe the atmosphere. This was on the stereotypical cold Tuesday night in Stoke and we played out a 0-0. The atmosphere was still 10 times better than anything I have seen in the vast majority of North American sports.

Its not just football though, I also support Warrington Wolves RL and the atmosphere at Super League and Challenge Cup games is also very good.

I dont really understand why they cant get an atmosphere going at Hockey - supposedly a religion in most of this country.

Yes. It's an embarrassing tally of medals however far one stretches it out.

If they aren't winning the gold medal every year with that volume of players they should take a long hard look at themselves and how the game is developed in this country.

Their performance this year was gutless and pitiful. The coaching staff and executive should be answering some tough questions.

A sport pretty much funded by Canada for a Canadian TV audience (game times scheduled accordingly) and 1 gold medal in the last 7 years.

TFC is not too dissimilar.

I'm wondering if it will pick up when the new roof goes on.

They don't really do chanting here and certainly nothing original, ironic or comical like down the Lane.

Basketball is the best professional sport to watch in Toronto.

Based Ball. Head south of the border.
