Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
I agree with the fans' sentiments. It's a bit like the Maple Laughs: there's a limit to what the punters will stand for and then they start drifting away, mumbling incoherently, soaking they're befuddled noggins in resentful confusion. Stopping to care.
+1. I started going to SJP in 1958 but enough is enough.
However I'll be back when Ashley's had his fill of Geordie blood.

There's only one decent team in the North East:

This will cheer you up. Turn the colour knob all the way down to black and white on your telly, pretend NUFC signed Defoe and enjoy the video
I agree, although so far, the bookies don't...
Bookies say Newcastle United are virtually guaranteed to stay up - despite drastic dip in form - Chronicle Live
Quite frankly though I'm past caring and will remain so for as long as Ashley is the owner.

The last 3 matches don't look too bad on paper but everyone will be looking forward to playing NUFC now. Hopefully all the player contracts have clauses for 50% pay cuts in the event of relegation. Where is Joe Kinnear these days?
