The real question is what happens if millions of illegal Mexicans decide they'd rather walk across the border into Canada than be sent back to Mexico.

Trudeau needs to coordinate policy with Trump, but there's no way he's going to do that because feelz.

How many is it....11 million or so? The burritos would at least improve.

In that scenario the Mexicans could be immediately detained and removed since I doubt Canada would entertain asylum applications from Mexican nationals.

Wanna bet on that?
IRCC have not yet released figures on Mexican nationals claiming protection since the visa ban was lifted. There have been claims and like the current claimants they are entitled to due process. Even US citizens can make claims but the likelihood of a US citizen being granted protection are almost zero.

Actually of course you're right. The last time I was in Canada I met a couple who filed an asylum claim as a way to extend implied status until they could sort out their PR. I won't give too much away but I think it would be fair to say that neither of them were from 'high risk' countries.

Never mind the Mexicans, what about the Martians?

Letting the Romulans and Klingons in unchecked is just asking for trouble.

And that's before you get on to that lot stowing away on vessels from LV-426 to take Canadian jobs. Before you know it, every Tim Hortons and Popeye's in Toronto will be staffed entirely by Xenomorphs.

There are probably some legitimate ones resulting from the drug wars. When I took my mom shopping down at Prince's by Oroville years ago, on the way back we saw US Border Patrol catching 3 or 4 guys trying to sneak into Canada through the bushes right beside the road. They had them spread out all over the car with guns stuck in their noses and ears, just like on COPS.

Anyone watch the newscast the other night where a guest Professor referred to those entering Canada illegally (as in other than through a Border Crossing) as having entered 'unofficially' WTF. More PC bullsh*t.

Canada is one of the most PC countries in the world when you're looking at an official or media level. If you were looking for right-wing propaganda and outrageous views then you probably moved to the wrong country.

Nonsense. Simply asking that this activity be referred to as what it is rather than trying to sugarcoat it. Nothing outrageous or inflammatory about that.

Maybe one of the overwhelming flood of refugees used each crossing.
