Random stuff - the anything else thread

We had the same in the UK, couriers said that the post code didn't exist, but we could prove it was correct, didn't deliver, so we rang Amazon, took them about 5 mins to arrange a refund and to tell us to reorder.

I notice since letting my Prime membership lapse, shipping is not as reliable, even when you pay for 1 day shipping.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Sometimes healthcare becomes annoying.
Specialist appointment on the 17th of January, the office didn't send the lab requisitions until last Thursday, which I received by email on Friday.
One of the tests ordered requires an appointment at the lab, and there is a very limited number of labs that provide the test needed, all are booked until after my appointment on the 17th, earliest in the 19th.
Now have to wait until April to see the specialist. Frustrating.....

It's quite bizarre but only lasts a few minutes before going back to normal. It started a couple of weeks ago and is not uncommon, apparently.
I'll be going to an ophthalmist to have my eyes checked before making an appointment with a doctor, just to put my mind at ease. I must admit I was a bit freaked out by it initially!

Mightily pistoff today.
The bridge in the front of my mouth - fitted Montreal 2005 - has been feeling funny. Based on past experiences of crowns I knew it was going to come off soon. I was hoping it would last until a coming appointment next week and that it could be stuck back in place then.
Not only did it come off today, it's more than just come off. Both the holding teeth appear to have snapped off with it.
I don't want to spend a fortune and have numerous appointments for dental implants - I'm too old - but I don't want a partial denture either. I certainly don't want a gap like some other New Brunswickers although that's what I have at the moment.
I saw my dentist today - 45 minutes after my phone call
I'm being referred to a specialist who, he thinks, may be able to insert a couple of posts and either reattach the bridge or have a new one done.

One of our Oldies (if any of you watched the YouTube clip I posted the other day) passed away today, we were able to get her husband out of hospital where he is waiting on a heart op yesterday, he spent the night with her in the nursing home and she passed away quietly this morning. Sad but expected. They were married 67 years, moved from the UK in 1964. They have had a very rich life together. It's very emotional.
