Parent passed away, returning to Canada with stuff!
Hiya, Here's a question.
Sadly my mum passed away last week and I'm in the UK now, dealing with stuff, one of the pitfalls of expat life I guess.
Anyways, there are a few things of mums that I am bringing back, nothing crazy, but things of some value.
Obviously I have not 'bought' anything, but am bringing slightly valuable things back with me but where do I stand at customs?
What do I say?
Hope you can help?

Sorry to read this. Yes definitely one of the harder aspects of living away from family. You need Former Lancastrian to answer this. If he doesn't find the thread maybe send him a PM. Hope you get everything sorted.
Edited to add Obviously Former Lancastrian types faster than I do.

Just thought I'd follow up on this, I printed the form (I also printed out the rules too), filled it out and presented the customs folks with everything on entry, gave them a copy of the death certificate and a copy of the will, they said they get very few of these and actually, they didn't know the rules, I gave them the rules (which I printed out), which they were very thankful for.
They told me that everything was in order, when I asked them if they wanted to look at the things I listed, they actually said 'if you've gone to the time and effort to list them and get the forms and give us everything, it's unlikely I'm trying to pull a fast one', so she just copied everything, stamped it and waved me off on my merry way.
They were very compassionate
