Is N Korea a real threat
Or is it all just BS
They saying they going to sink Japan and turn the USA into dust.
Hand bags at dawn or baseball bats after the night club closes ?

They are mostly a threat to themselves. Once false move and SK becomes an island.
The Russians and Americans understood Mutually Assured Destruction. But while NK missiles are potentially dangerous, assuming that they can be aimed accurately and are reliable (which are mighty big assumptions), there is no mutual assurance of destruction, not even close. If NK launches an armed missile they will be toast!

The dollar has dived since the missile launch. Probably the reason oil is now over $50 a barrel.

If Russia or China invaded Mexico, I'm sure the US would have a response.

Re: Is N Korea a real threat
Do you really think that China and Russia will sit by and let the US take over a neighboring country? Retaliation comes with a few risks. I do agree that Russia already shares borders on one side with US occupied countries. It is because of Chinese support, that North Korea still exists, from what I remember.

What do you think I meant when I said SK would become an island?

Maybe you should clarify that. The chances of hitting x number of mobile missile launchers in unknown locations before they can be used, and hitting the rest in the air before reaching their targets are slim, Destruction of major North Korean cities as retaliation for an attack on US or it's allies would be possible, but of no purpose and highly unlikely.

I was listening to Jeremy Vine (I know, I know) and they had a interesting discussion on the subject. BBC Radio 2 - Jeremy Vine, Betting Machines and North Korea

No, it's now a stalemate. US can't risk receiving a strike, politically unacceptable. So much of same as before, rhetoric and NK won't be invaded because of the nucular retaliation, so not like Iraq at all.
