I have a problem with Will Ferrell. I can't abide him. As funny as that childish so called comedian in a tight suit (not Alexei Sayle) who somehow managed to become popular and whose name escapes me.

I enjoyed it except the Canto Bight scenes - that was very Disney and more aimed at the younger audience.

Loved the crystal foxes though

Did Luke have to brush the dust of his shirt when there was none. Wasn't a funny moment, despite much of the audience thinking so. Another moment in the film for the 5 year olds.

Did Disney have a hand in the prequel (episode 1,2 and 3)? Jar Jar binks seems the sort of annoyance they would come out with it...

No. I'm pretty sure that was all Lucas.

I do wonder whether selling Star Wars to Disney was just his way of saying 'you think the prequels were bad? Well, you ain't seen nothing yet.'

I believe I read something about how Lucas was a bit annoyed that Disney ignored his ideas for The Force Awakens. Umm, you sold the rights, which means they are less likely to listen to you. Unless the sale had a clause where you retained some input.

No new movies seen this year as yet. Curious about Black Panther and Infinity War. Not totally convinced about the Death Wish remake either. Wil also be amused what DC films appear this year and if heir dark universe stuff does come out, or if The Mummy killed it.

Saw the trailer for Black Panther and a billion other doomsday movies. It seems that with the advent of realistic CGI huge explosion / destruction movies with thin plots and no name casts are the order of the day.

Jumanji. Was intrigued how it would have been updated since the Robin Williams 1995 version - was very well done, with more than a passing nod to what had gone before but a sufficiently different take on the theme not to be "just" a remake nor a sequel, as such. Excellent fun, enjoyed by the whole family (aged 8 to "late 40s")

Intending to see this one soon, having just recently re-watched the original (shot in Vancouver) and Zathura (Jumanji sequel).
