This is probably more TV than movie but it was a one off.
Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
A must see if you fancy a giggle.
BBC One - Peter Pan Goes Wrong

I, Daniel Blake.
I always knew I got out (of the DWP) at a good time. Another couple of years and I'd have found it very hard to be able to find some good to do.
Not sure everyone is so willing to help each other though, as was portrayed.

I have Hacksaw Ridge, Manchester by the Sea and Noc Animals lined up for the weekend.
Shepherds and Butchers was ok, The Accountant was ok, Arrival was sloooooooow
Bleed For This was good, true story , A Monster Calls was alright, Masterminds was appalling ( a poor recommendation from a Canadian colleague )

I have just finished watching 'Manchester by the Sea', my prediction is that Casey Affleck will win the Academy Award for best actor.
I enjoyed it, easily a 8/10 from me.

Couldn't see how either actor or supporting actor stretched their acting abilities in either movie - Moonlight or Manchester ?!?!?

I think Mr Loach kind of hit the audience over the head with a hammer to get his less than subtle point across.

I liked the 'nice' woman in the job centre who gave him water.
That look around that she gave to see who might be watching or listening (and later got told off). I recognised that behaviour straight away.
It needed to be longer to get more meat on the bones
