Re: Mosquitos!!!
My family has been using OFF Deep Woods, which has been working really well. DEET insect repellent spray for long lasting outdoor protection | OFF!® Insect Repellents (our Costco sells it for a good price).

Deep woods is great if you are spending a long time outside, in the woods or other places with a lot of mozzies, its has a high Deet content. Its what I use if im going off for a long sweaty bike ride through the woods. For light duty the skintastic has less deet, stinks less and does just as good a job for a couple of hours in the backyard or on the golf course, with the bonus that its less likely to eat your sunglasses.

Citronella candle (I can hear themlaughing) and mosquito coil... Slightly less reaction than three years ago but I still feel like a giant target (blood filled splats on inside of windscreen show my willingness to fight back in a losing battle though)

Citronella and coils help a little if your just sat still but fairly useless if your moving around

Re: Mosquitos!!!
Hi all
Recently retired and shortly moving to Moraria .
Having just returned my husband seem's to have had which we will try next time a terrible reaction to insect bite's .
Each bite is now surrounded by a large dark circle , a little like a large bruise . Rather unsightly - I see some have recommended sprays etc but does anybody have a recommendation for removal or easing of the bruise like marks ?

Are you sure they aren't tick bites? https://www.google.ca/search?q=how+t...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
If your husband is getting the characteristic red bullseye, then get him to the doctor or hospital ASAP as you need to get ahead if it's Lyme disease.
Otherwise, probably just have your doctor take a look at it - no one is going to be able to diagnose over the internet! It could be that he's just particularly reactive to north American mosquitos, or it could be something more serious. You should get him checked out.
PS: For future posts, you are better off starting your own thread instead of posting on the bottom of a thread that's over two months old.
