Let me be absolutely clear, (yes, I'll be running for Prime Minister in the next election).
While my government is hell bent on providing enhanced benefits for more than 4 million Canadian families, I also believe that all Canadians are too stupid to notice that the increases in UCCB will actually cost them more because of the concomitant cessation of Tax Credits for having children.
I am also committed to reducing unemployment in Canada (obviously except for Alberta, come on, let's be serious), and I am succeeding immensely.
To be absolutely clear, when people withdraw from the workforce, by their own choice, this is not a result of my policies
Again to be clear, an employed person is an employed person. It's not a matter for the Government to involve themselves in how many hours a week they work or for what wage. That's a matter for the Market.
Now, you will all remember the promises I made back in 2006. I have fulfilled all of them. But of course you twats have forgotten what they were by now.
One of the bigger ones was fixed term Federal Elections. Remember?
Ooops. The thing is that this Duffy trial where he's going to defend himself against my trumped up charges which cleverly at the time I thought would shut the f***er up. Now all my lackeys are going to have to testify under oath (or commit perjury, which to be absolutely clear, I'd prefer), but to the point: the Election will be in the middle of the Duffy trial.
Perhaps in late May to maximally subvert the news cycle and to allow my best friend, Novocastrian, to vote against me before he shoots Gozit in the head.
