If it turns out to be a terrorist attack at a concert frequented by teenagers, this has to be one of the worst things I have ever seen in my life so far.

And if the nail bomb part is true, the casualties are going to be huge. What is happening in this world?

I will definitely be hugging my 14 year old girl when I get home from work this morning. The photos of the missing kids broke my heart.

I can't even bring myself to watch the news, I was sobbing just listening to it on the radio this morning. As the mother of a 12 year old on the cusp of independence, it breaks my heart. She's gone off on a school trip to London today and I gave her an extra big hug and told her to be safe.

Thinking of all those affected, and remembering that there are far more good people in the world than there are evil.

MANCHESTER: Islamic State claimed responsibility for Monday’s deadly attack at the Manchester Arena and said it was carried out with an explosive device planted at the concert, according to a statement the group posted on Telegram.

“One of the soldiers of the Caliphate was able to place an explosive device within a gathering of the Crusaders in the city of Manchester,” the statement said.

It seems that the singer, Ariana Grande, had a very young and female fanbase. So it seems they were deliberately targeted.

According to the police the device was a suicide belt worn by the man, who has been named by some sources, but not the police, as Salman Abedi, and was detonated in the lobby as it was full of people leaving.

I thought that, it seems they've aimed to target children and they detonated the bomb at the end of the concert which I assume was to get people as they exited but it seems they detonated too early for that.


My girlfriend had tried to get tickets for this show to take her sister in law who is 13. I'm glad they didn't manage to get tickets.


Myself and my girlfriend have been expecting Manchester to be hit for awhile now, we expected the Trafford centre though to be honest. Terrorism is terrorism but at least the IRA used to ring a warning first. Purposefully targeting children is cowardice and disgusting. No doubt like the other's he'll be a local too.
