ISIS saying the gunman was a Islamic soldier recently converted !!

Trump speech: what a chump. Just reading an autocue, no authenticity, and too much God talk.

Easiest thing in the world for ISIS to claim this. The oxygen of publicity by getting it repeated, the confusion (or worse) that it sows. Authorities & most news sources remain skeptical.

Trump is even more dangerous when he deviates from the teleprompter.

Who is going to apologise on behalf of caucasions for this shooting? And more importantly what are caucasions and our community leaders doing to weed these people out?

Yes CBC is saying the same....I don't think ISIS is choosy who it recruits to carry out their muderous agenda.

I’m surprised at him using automatic weapons. They’re very hard to buy and even harder to own legally.

He would need a class 3 permit, but his brother says he was not into weapons so how would he have done that ?

Trump is a moron who doesn't care about humans, only money and power, so he won't do anything to change things, nor will the morons who control congress.

There are a few sane states out there who have passed pretty strict gun control, but there are many states with little gun control which makes the strict gun control states less effective, weakest links and all in the other states.

The only meaningful way to change the gun situation is to change the constitution, legislation alone won't be able to go far enough with the way the 2nd amendment has been interpreted over the years.

I cannot see the support necessary to change the constitution to modernize it as to the gun issue at this point in time.

One thing I'm surprised about is that no-one has mentioned Terrorist / Terrorism. One presumes because the shooter is white male, so, you know, he ain't of color, and / or doesn't have a "foreign" sounding name, so cannot possibly be one of those nasty terrorist types.

Will this shooting change a thing in regards to gun control? I very much doubt it. Constitutional right to bear arms, blah, blah, blah.

I am curious to know what the motive for this attack was. Obviously premeditated. Perhaps his "companion" can shed some light on it all.

.
That's the first thing they looked at, and ISIS then jumped on board and tried to take the responsibility for it, however it's believed not to be directly terrorist related. For now ?

CBC makes it seem as if the person of interest mentioned before, has been located outside of the US, and police do not believe she was involved but that the shooter may have stolen/obtained some of her ID.

'It was chaos': Shooting on Las Vegas Strip kills 58, wounds hundreds - World - CBC News

"We have located her out of the country," Lombardo said Monday morning, adding that police believe the shooter was using some of her identification.

"We have had conversation with her, and we believe her, at this time, not to be involved," he said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
