Default How often do your streets get cleaned?

I mean those big heavy vehicles.

The incredible sound they make is really noticeable but not that often heard, months apart perhaps.

But a few weeks ago our street was resurfaced and just last week I commented that the street cleaner seemed to be weekly since then, twice in one week as well. And two passes in each direction.

It's here again today. Two passes again.

Not often enough to notice. They don't seem to clean streets often here.

Maybe as the road has been redone they are doing extra sweeps to clear any loose rock or other material?

At my dad's place they do weekly Street sweeps. Once a week no street parking from 3am to 6am for it.

Once (most) of the danger of snow has passed we generally get one doing a couple of passes to remove the worst of the sand/grit. Other than that never.

Likewise. Not outside my home, nor in the town a few miles away - literally never.

Haven't seen street cleaners but there's a couple of blokes that water the hanging flower baskets up our street. One bloke drives the truck and the other stands at the back and has a little pointy hose. I usually see them on my way back from the pub.

I wondered about that but it followed the same line - close to the kerb - for both passes.

Once a year after winter, normally 1st week in April. They come by and sweep up all the gravel the snow plows put out.

Usually once a year, late in the fall when all the fallen leaves have gone really mushy!

But they did do a street cleaning this year in late February / early March to get rid of the large amount of grit that had been used during the long icy spell.
