"homeless" in Canada
I have been in Canada , South Shore NS to be specific for the past 14 years and just split up with my husband, who is from there. We are in the 12 month separation period before we can get divorced. The house sold 4 weeks ago and we had 3 offers on it. My husband bought another house just a few houses up from where the old one is, so he has his life sorted out and is happy with his choice. I have a storage unit, a mailbox and a safety deposit box and a car and 4 keys...
I am homeless for now, trying to figure out where I want to be in the future. My job doesn't require any specific city or area, they fly me from wherever I am to my assignments, so being not too far from an airport would help. I am considering trying out several areas in Canada that interest me and I would like to have a closer look at Quebec City, Montreal, Okanagan and Victoria/Nanaimo. My idea is to spend 4-6 weeks in each of those areas, starting November and see which one I like best.... if anyone has a room to rent in those areas , let me know.

It's an interesting plan. Good luck with it.

Thanks Bristol. Just to clarify> nothing to be sorry about. This outcome was my choice. Our split is amicable

FYI ..............
Victoria housing is expensive ............. it has risen in recent months
Nanaimo is not a really easy commute for a job .......... you have to fly to Vancouver and then from there, and thus can take longer than you would think. It is a nice place to live, has many things to attract people.
