Yep, I never add food colouring though I just let the spices dictate that. It is amazing the variety you can get by just tinkering a bit !!

Me neither. I also rarely use an onion base unless I'm having British friends visit. That way I can knock up a few different dishes quite easily.
If its just for me and HID I strive for more authentic Indian homestyle cuisine.
