Hangover prevention/mitigation?

Re: Hangover prevention/mitigation?
I was on holiday with some mates at 15 at West Bay and Brown Splits were ordered by the round. I found it too strong a tsate but not wanting to be seen as not being able to drink it, I surreptitiously poured a drop away after each swig so I was only drinking about half of each pint.
This was in the beer garden so it might not be so easy if the 'do' is inside.

Eat something with red meat beforehand (the suggestion of a burger was a good one).
Take some multi-vitamins and eat a banana (you lose vitamins and potassium when drinking)
Drink a big glass of water and one of milk.
Drink bloody mary's with lots of tomato juice and ice and little vodka or else stick to bottled beer that's gassy (so stops you drinking too much) and nobody can tell how much is left in it if you put it down. You can fake swigging it too

For every pint of beer you drink, have the same number of pints of water before going to sleep.
A previous poster has remarked on what to much water will do to the body. OK, but not enough water e.g. dehydration is a what a hangover is.
I don't know how that works for glasses of wine or spirits. It would be unusual to drink those by the pint in social company

Re: Hangover prevention/mitigation?
Here’s the reason for the thread, I have a rather tricky meeting the next morning so I don’t want a bad hangover, but apart from abstinence, which is a non-starter, I’m not too sure how to go about this. I've heard eating cheese slows down the alcohol absorption but other than that I’m at a complete loss. Any tips?
Plenty of beer and mix in plenty of shots.
Wrap up in the early hours of the morning of your meeting.
A quick couple of hours and when you wake you'll still be in the zone.
Do the meeting. You'll feel great then get back on it before the hangover kicks in.
Sorry I wasn't able to provide this advise earlier.

Things are going south rather quickly. Someone brought a massive bottle of Grey Goose, plus Cosmic Mary has turned up. I forrsee a knee trembling race on the cards. I'll keep you posted. 😞

Asked about the lack of peas, got little to no response. Still the waitress is super fit. gittity.
