Guardian readers
Don't you just love 'em?
Best newspaper, best news site, best footie coverage etc etc (but by no means faultless)
I've been a reader since the 70s but I can have a laugh at the guardian reader stereotype as much as anyone.
The comments below this report are really good for a laugh.

Re: Guardian readers
I subscribed to the Guardian Weekly before there was the internet. It circulated all around the office because then, as now, the world beyond America was a mystery to the Canadian newspapers.
Since that time there has, to my knowledge, been one significant change in Canadian life; the coming of Ace Bakery products to Loblaws. I'm not saying that Ace is artisan bread but it is reasonable quality bread that is widely available, something sensational when it arrived. Now, if they could only get cheese.

I still get offers for that. Well, I got one last year.
The commenters can't seem to agree whether holes are a sign of quality or the reverse.
But...
i am therefore starting the Campaign for Real Baked Beans. only beans which are handbaked by a blind albanian badger shepherd over a period of 43 years....

Oh yes, you need to really spend out if you want holes in your bread. Who wants to spread anything on it anyway? Would ruin the flavour of those holes.

"Sourdough taste test: can supermarkets do artisan bread?"
Is this the most Guardian headline ever?
Is this the most Guardian headline ever?
Sourdough taste test: can supermarkets do artisan bread? If not, is Israel to blame?
I think it would actually be:
Sourdough taste test: can supermarkets do artisan bread? If not, how women are disproportionally affected.
