I watched 3 episodes and then the excessive use of the dreaded 'c' word got to me. To me one of the foulest words in the english language.

I agree the soundtrack brought back a lot of memories. There is a spotify playlist the BBC collated that you can download. I guess that beats going to the trouble of putting out a soundtrack album.

He cursing is a bit over done but the actual content I find funny

Things can be funny without cursing, look at Kim's Convenience, Shitts Creek or Mr D

If you like your "testodocumentary"/realtiy shows salty then "The Catch" on Netflicks is worth a look. It's a British (C4) version of the "Deadliest Catch" but rather more "Coldwater Cowboys" (which is about Newfoundland fishermen) in tone. Quite entertaining in its own way.

Any random smug git who deserves whatever random crap life throws at him.

The way he talked to the camera with such confidence reminded me of Francis Underwood.

Some people get de-sensitized to the language but to me I find that there are lots of other ways to convey thoughts without resorting to the c-word.

Watched the first episode of Icelandic crime series Trapped.

Nicely different.

God but that town looks bleak in winter. Stats-wise it looks more calm, less icy etc than most of Canada.

Siglufjörður is a beautiful if somewhat isolated fishing village mainly accessible by two tunnels. We were there in the Summer so there was a good vibe even for rural North West Iceland. I will need to watch it ..

Ah ha, I wondered if you'd been there.

I googled to see where it was and looked at a few pics...a bit Newfoundlandish. I don't know if it was doubling for another place in Iceland but the real population is 1200 and that was a bloody big ferry that arrived, albeit with only 100 passengers.

Available on Netflix BTW

No not really. I went to university with a guy called Michael Hunt who shortened his first name for maximum effect.

The porn star moustache and cultural reference points and the overall look of suburban england in the 80's was well done...the dialogue was the downfall of it.
