Re: Fraser Valley Shooting
With all the gang shootings out there it's a surprise that there isn't more law enforcement caught in the crossfire. Sad, nonetheless.

Re: Fraser Valley Shooting
It was a 60 year old guy from AB who had stolen a car from the automall (across the street) on Saturday. Then went back to a store in the strip mall across the road on Monday. Not a bright move! Employees from the mall spotted the car and blocked it in, which kicked all this off. Report it and keep out the way, then this may not have gone down as it did.

Just to put things in perspective:
Mediocre pop star dies of cancer and Trudeau manages an emergency full-on press conference with TV cameras and tears. Police officer gets murdered in the line of duty and Trudeau manages a Tweet. Several hours later. |

Re: Fraser Valley Shooting
That's two ex-British cops shot and killed in the line of duty within the last two years. One in Edmonton and now this poor fella.
I was an unarmed Auxiliary Cst with the RCMP here in Kamloops for 5 years, once that Aux Cst in Alberta got shot, that was it, no more for me. Too many nutters out there. |

Do you think UK training, which I believe is a less confrontational approach, might be a residual habit, and a factor in the deaths of Brit cops?
I worked a few traffic stops with that cop that got shot in Kamloops a few years ago, he was (still is) a very astute cop that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes shit just goes south... |

No, he's not either of the dodgy cops with the same name who come up on Google...
