Financial Problems at Zoom????

Financial Problems at Zoom????
In yesterdays paper (Winnipeg Free Press) there was a report that a major insurer of tour groups has refused to insure 2 groups for their travel with Zoom.
It seems this is not good news, and that travel agents and tour operators will now be less inclined to book with Zoom, causing them further problems.
The last airline that was refused this coverage went into bankruptcy a month later
Zoom say its all a misunderstanding with the Insurance Company.

Hmm - that doesn't sound too good. IMO Zoom are by far the best charter airline that operates between Canada & the UK.... lets hope it is just a mix up..

Firm downplays lifting Zoom's insurance.
"The international insurance firm that placed Zoom Airlines on its list of airlines it wouldn't cover in the event of a failure says this is normal business."

It was the comment from the Travel Agent that concerned me, as it reflects the opinion of the Industry. Zoom may or may not be having problems, but travel agents being reluctant to book them may cause them problems.
I hope that they are OK as we need as much competition as possible with the airlines.
