Fall?
I spotted this today, at first it seemed like they were just dried dead leaves, but looking at it, and several other trees in the area, it appears fall is slowly creeping up, or the trees are totally confused...lol

Re: Fall?
Well we have been have fall weather, warm or hot days and cool evenings so the trees he will change soon. We normally see a few leaves changing in mid august so it isn't so far off.

Re: Fall?
Unfortunately we have seen signs of 'it' too round these parts. Cripes, what the hell happened to summer? It seems to be just dwindling away the last couple years. ie - not happening the way it should and not as hot as it should be.

Global Warming screwing with the regular weather patterns. Sadly we are going to have to get used to it cos no one in power in North America appears to give a damn.

Hubby and I were talking about this a couple days ago, after noticing our trees are turning. Oh crap, here comes the snow! Better start digging out the gear!

Stop it, the lot of you. Really.
It's mid July - the temperatures are in the 20's - the sun is out (but somewhat blocked by all the hazy smoke blowing in from forest fires everywhere) and I haven't had my summer holiday yet.
I am counting on it being lovely through to the first week in October - do not spoil my dreams, and do not comment on changing leaves or a chill in the air. La, la, la - I am not listening.
Now where is my sun cream and bug spray?

And lovely to the first week in October? Is this your first Canadian "summer" ? Once the slacks and long sleeves have to come out, it is no longer 'lovely'
And that's usually round mid-September.

Re: Fall?
Dry weather induced. Plants transpire through their leaves, when there is a shortage of water, foliage is lost on some deciduous plants to reduce transpiration and conserve water in the tree.
