Watched tonight. Always good to see a realistic portrayal.

And most stayed on.

Sisters.

Can't be bothered to say much about it.

Trashy can work - witness the excellent Trainwreck. This was dire.

Truth, quite good.

Have Legend and Bridge of Spies lined up for this week and maybe revisit Spectre

Fathers and Daughters was a nice weepy

I watched Sushi Girl yesterday. A bit up it's own arse for that kind of film, but I did enjoy it overall.

It's good to see De Niro doing what he does best.

Heist

One improbable happening after another. Which means it's in the best traditions of movie entertainment.

But then there's this music at the end that reminded me of something.

If you like Serial Killer movies with a bit of psychic behaviour thrown in, Solace isn't bad.

Willow Creek
Very reminiscent of Blair witch project- shorter in length- unseen horror- Bigfoot - sounds trashy but I have seen worse. I do love a good horror movie and did love BWP

You have to go a long way to better The Exorcist and Exorcist 3 (the true sequel).

I like a good 'frightener' but so many have one or two 'make you jump' moments but not much else.

I watched rambo ii and iii. The 3rd is especially great in it's reagan era depiction of afghanistan that I can pretend to enjoy ironically while sly is shooting up a bunch of commies.

Festival in Cannes

Movie shenanigans with the Cannes film festival as the backdrop.

Reminiscent of Robert Altman's The Player and Short Cuts, but not as good.

If Canadian landscape is all you've seen for a few years, it's lovely to see Cannes and environs.

The Power of Few

This was interesting. Christopher Walken and Christian Slater in a movie featuring an event where we see various characters in scenes leading to the event and how it's all connected.

A little Pulp Fiction, a little Run Lola Run, a little 11:14

Saw The Revenant yesterday. What a pile of poo, the best bit was the scene with the bear, although I was cheering for the bear. Of course if you want to know what British Columbia looks like in May then it'll be worth a watch.

Were there lots of miserable bored looking Brits wandering aimlessly around in the background wishes that they were back in blighty?

There was a lot of moaning and groaning. And, if it's historically accurate, it turns out that the Indians and European settlers didn't get on too well.

I Kissed a Girl (Toute Première Fois)

A fairly typical modern French comedy. Guy wakes up after a one night stand with a Swedish woman. What's he done? He was in a committed relationship and actually about to marry. His boyfriend.

The French really know how to make comedies.
