This evening's dinner is cheese and cheese, maybe some bread and crisps but mostly Shropshire Blue and Saxon Shires.

We’re currently having an addition built onto our gaff. The plan is to have a gas fireplace or stove, in addition to extending the oil fired hot water radiation into it. The gas fireplace will give us backup and while we’re fiddling around with the elektrickery I’m going to have a gennie panel put in. In 13years we’ve had minimal outages but it seems like a wise investment. It’s actually not the heating going out that is the major inconvenience, rather it’s having no water as the well pump isn’t working!
Gas will be LPG by the way as no natural gas in these parts. I’m also planning on a gas stove in the kitchen which will be, as they say, nice. 😃
