But why not? Bristol deserves it. I don't go throwing Karma without discretion.

I'm often blocked in the same way but others are worthy, and many more than me.

We had that, minus the chips, on Boxing Day, where were you?

While replying to Bristol's Eggs thread, mine were frying.

I'm thinking about tomorrow's breakfast already, which is unusual, but there's a reason. I was given a bunch of beer from work over Christmas, and one bottle is an Innis and Gunn Original. I was going to open and drink it, and then I thought, "I have a package of kippers still in the freezer, oh.... wouldn't that be nice for breakfast." I am committed to going for a lunch fish and chip special tomorrow at about 11:30, but if I skip supper tonight and only have a couple of lemon tarts, and then have kippers and beer at about 6 AM I should be good to go for fish and chips by 11:30.
I prefer to think of Canada's Food Guide more as a set of loose suggestions than as iron-clad law.

I'm not sure I could face beer or fish that early in the morning.

My one experience of kippers at breakfast was horrible - like a memory of the yellowy smoked haddock at school. I like haddock so it's hard to believe smoked haddock would be that bad but it was and I can still smell it now. <shudders>

I've had Fish Fingers for breakfast I'm sure.

Damn...now I've just had a flashback of a lovely battered plaice. Not had that since...probably around 2001

Innis & Gunn ! Nice !! Sank a few bottles of their Blood Red Sky over the holidays and even a Marmalade IPA. Original I&G too. One of my fave ales these days. Retails for £1.80 a bottle (330ml) here.

Bacon and eggs, saving the kippers for another day, and the beer for later.

Having used up all the eggs before my flight was cancelled, traditional breakfast isn't possible so I made mash and salad w/ salt and Peppa.

Half a toasted bagel with marmite and a small apple turnover.
