Look at you whilst I've been away! Nice one sir!!!

I had the Ducati appraised for vintage insurance.... still not worth much so that should kill any talk of me selling it to get the kids shoes or similar frivolities. Trumpet is still going good.

An old ('79) Pantah. Sorting out vintage insurance at the moment since I acquired the "modern" last year.

So before 1980 is classed as vintage insurance ehh, is it a big saving ? And does it matter what bike, thinking RD 400 or maybe a Z650

Oh look at you getting a collection going, I had an RD400 a few years ago, I think we paid $500 for it, it was in lovely condition but not for me.

Age cutoff is 20+ and you have to get an assessment done, to weed out people with 25 year old rat bikes who want cheap insurance.

There's quite a lot of restrictions plus 2,000km year limit. Basically to prevent you using up as a day-day bike, but I have the triumph for that.

Took her for the first ride today - just down to the dealership, she's got some issues that need help.

I called to book her in, and it was I'm booking 10th August, what Bike do you have, RZ 350...DO you want to sell it for a big bag of cash? erm no, what if it was a bigger bag of cash, erm no. Well bring it down this afternoon and we'll start working on it, these things are rare, yep I know.

Took it down and was offered money again, should be back later this week and I'll be able to take her for a longer burn, I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face

Ha ha

I took mine for a safety last month and the guy who is our local bike mender and my safety guy for that day, had 3x RD350LC, an old RD 400 and a RZ350YPVS in his work shop. One of the LC's was for sale, 3,500 - 4,000$

He also knew a guy selling a YVPS who had emailed him and wanted $2,500 for it. The Pic looked mint but it was an after market fairing.

I had to get out of there asap before I made a silly mistake

There was one of those green ones at the auction last September, I was super tempted it sold cheap, around $6k and it was mint, but I held out

I'm wondering if I should get a new Bonneville as well, I'll see how reliable the RZ is 1st though, I'm still buzzing lol
