BC Gas Price
I haven't filled up in a few weeks, went to the pump last night in Kamloops and paid $1.36 :eek:

1.45 but some stations have gone down to 1.41 to 1.43 over the last day or so.

I now drive a 1600 cc Fiesta whereas, in England, I drove a similar sized Rover 214. Distance travelled is about the same (it was far less when I lived in Calgary) and I can't imagine that my Fiesta is much less fuel efficient that my Rover was. In fact, it's probably the exact opposite. |

I had to give up comfort of a car because of gas prices and increased insurance.
But I suppose the upside is a scooter only costs about $60/month to operate with gas and insurance combined vs several hundred a month for a car. |

By car avg of 35 mins to work and 25 going home. Scooter is about 5 mins slower on avg. The Mazda 2 used about a tank a week and current prices would be around $50 per week and insurance was $165 per month or so and there was a small loan on the car so a monthly payment as well. |

Quite a shock to see gas prices in Quebec and Ontario over the last 2 weeks, and then come back to Vancouver prices!
