Anyone had these?
bacon-and-egg ice-cream...Now, flavours such as stilton, Twiglet and smoked salmon

All kidding aside, I recall having basil ice cream in 2006 in Paris from the supermarket and it was incredible.

If I had enough hair for one of those, that would be among the last hairstyles I'd have.
But I'd have thought someone with one of those would be exactly the sort of person who'd be trying these.
Got me thinking now. I had long dispensed with that when I moved here but I'm trying to remember what I did with my AIWA unit when I bought my midi system.
I'm adventurous to try and there's no reason why some cheese wouldn't work. Not sure about bacon though.

My fave ice cream is salted caramel. I do not buy it. For obvious reasons. (Tub doesn't last the day.)

Last week I bought some more of the Magnum bars and this time went for the caramel. The only caramel to be found was on the label.

Most likely, I know that some of mine are. Maybe go get a turntable and re-live some stuff? In 2017 I bought more vinyl than CDs.

Anyway, back to the subject...

Just thought of a way of using up the somewhat disappointing pseudo-caramel Magnums. I just checked, I have Stilton and bacon in stock, so am willing to give this a belt.

Do I remove the chocolate from the Magnums before going for the mix?

Not exactly a raging success. Did three small batches using a base of de-choco'd pseudo-caramel Magnum; batch 1 with stilton, batch 2 same but with added crisped and flaked bacon, batch 3 as per batch 2 with some of the flaked chocolate. Maybe the stilton was a bit too mature, maybe I just got nosed out, but it didn't work for me.



When my taste buds are back to normal I'll have a go at Coronation Cool.

Yeah I bought some HD and was fairly unimpressed with their interpretation. It's the ice cream where the whole tub is caramel flavoured that I like/fear. Sainsbury's used to produce an own label like that. Maybe they still do? Also have a soft spot for Magnums, but I can resist those in the freezer.

HD 'spirits' are nice. Irish Cream, Coffee, Biscotti.
