Rif he had been on trial for throttling a male platonic friend several years ago would the make friend have had all his emails dug up? Would Ghomeshi have kept letters sent to him by the male friend? Would that friend have been asked why he stayed in contact with Ghomeshi and even had a pint with him once?

There was never anyway to prove what happened so I don't know how this came to court it was always going to be his word against theirs and with no proof then he has to be acquitted.

I believe the women though. It will be interesting to see what happens at the second trial.

If there is a second trial ? Maybe they will back off knowing what they all know now, who else wants dragging thru the mangle and spat out by his lawyer

Having a pint is a bit different to encouraging and continuing a sexual relationship with your sexual abuser though.

And remember it was thousands of emails not just one or two.

Maybe more sense if they had a similar, homosexual relationship, with a few slaps and breath play. Then saw each other after. I think the outcome would have been the same.
