Hi Pagie22,
I have just been offered an interview at Sri KDU.
I was wondering whether I could get your thoughts about teaching there?
What do they offer in terms or salary and benefits?
many thanks,
Leisha

Paige22, Rach_T, JB24, Wanderlust81, Kennyboy33,
Hi!
I've just been offered an interview at Sri KDU and I was wondering if you enjoy teaching there?
I would be in lower Primary.
How is the salary and benefits? I would be supporting both my husband and I so I'm looking for a competitive salary.
Do you earn enough to save each month?
Would really appreciate your help!
Many thanks,
Leisha

Any updates on what it is like to work at the school from those employed there? About to put an application in and was wondering if those that work there would recommend it as a place to work / start a international teaching career?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi, reading this thread before has really helped towards making the decision to move to KL. How is it now that some of you have been working at SRI KDU international over the last two years? Does the package allow you to travel across Asia and save money? Which is the best accommodation to stay at around or near the school?
Any info would really help me. Thanks

The interviews are quite personal rather than just answering generic questions. Just be yourself, and show how you experiences will lend itself to teaching in an international setting.
Malaysia is a great hub for travelling to other parts of Asia or Australia/New Zealand. If you want a sense of adventure then go for it!

No I have an offer, just wondering if anyone had any details on the school, I'm not 100% about making the leap abroad. Am really excited about the possibilities but will be leaving a lot behind...

I am an NQT this year and am looking to start my international school career. I've seen some mixed reviews online but was just excited to be offered a place abroad at his stage in my career

Hi, I read all your posts with interest. I'm actually one of the local mothers looking for reviews on the Sri KDU international school. Looking through everyone's posts it seems that the soon to be teachers are a happy bunch, and I trust that my child will be thought by good natured and loving people.
I do want to know more about your thoughts of the school and also personal satisfaction working in Sri KDU. I trust Malaysia is truly an adventure in all positive and negative aspects!
The earlier posts are three years ago, I wonder if all of them made it and are still here. Anyone reading this please help to reply in any way.
Thanks in advance!

Some other queries for those who made the move to Malaysia with young kids: what are your plans for your kids in Malaysia, education wise? How are you coping with work and children in a new environment?
