Malaysian primary schools - experiences

Hi there,

Thank you for letting me join your forum, it's already been really useful!

I am currently applying for teaching jobs in primary schools in Malaysia and would love to hear people's personal experiences about the schools they work in good or bad (PM if you'd rather).

Any other hints and tips for a first time expat to be, would be also be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

My background is mainstream primary, I'm a subject lead in Computing and was principally looking at private International schools.

Then you'll be fine. Kids are well behaved. Google target schools, some better some worse. Same with pay - check fees, higher the parents pay, the better the teachers are paid but the more competitive the staff.
