Question Clearance from Veterinary Authority - Malaysia

Hello

I live in the UK and I am hoping to move to Malaysia in the next few months. I am bringing my pet dog with me. I have been in touch with the Department of Veterinary Services for the necessary paperwork etc. I was considering going to Kuantan but they have said that I will have to clear him at KLIA entry point because they don't have the facilities in Kuantan, he is a big dog in a big crate and the thought of taking him off the flight and having to check him in again is nothing short of horrendous. I suppose I would have the same problem if I was going to Langkawi which was one of my other options. I am not leaving him in the UK before anyone suggests it. Has anyone any useful advice or maybe gone through this experience themselves?
